I first met Mark through his South Street Basement Friday night events, his enthusiasm and creative different take on things was refreshing and partly instrumental in my returning to the SE area.

What I remember most about Mark was his willingness to listen, challenge and encourage you. Wild Hope grew from the Mustard Seed of discussion and exploration of the possible.

Lewisham in the 90s was a mixed bag, things could, should, have been done better, but I'm grateful for the
friendships that were made there and endure to this day, without my initial contact with Mark, many of these wouldn't have occurred.

Leaving London, and later the UK, I lost touch with a few people so my memories of Mark remain set in those times, which is a regret as I'm sure I'd have enjoyed more, albeit electronic, ongoing conversations.
